Visit our letter writing table after the Sunday Platform. It is located in the main foyer and someone from the Ethical Action Committee will be there during our coffee hour. Use these sample letters to edit and send to appropriate people. Bring them to the letter writing table and the Ethical Action Committee will stamp and mail them for you.

If you would like to submit a letter, send it to the Ethical Action Committee Chairperson.


The following organizations are wonderful sources of e-action materials.

Americans United for Separation of Church and State has worked to protect the constitutional principle of church-state separation since 1947.

Congress.org allows users to identify and send messages to their elected leaders in Congress, The White House, and state legislatures.

The Alliance for Retired Americans is an organization that works to ensure social and economic justice and full civil rights for all citizens so that they may enjoy lives of dignity, personal and family fulfillment and security.

The American Civil Liberties Union has a vibrant action network. Sign up to communicate with Congress on civil liberties issues.

The Illinois General Assembly website is the place to go for information on Illinois legislative activities and addresses for Illinois legislators.

Thomas is a service of the Library of Congress that makes Federal legislative information freely available to the Internet public. Get information on bills before congress as well as addresses of senators and representatives.

The League of Women Voters encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

The Natural Resources Defense Council is an environmental action group supported by more than one million members and BioGems Defenders nationwide.

The Sierra Club is America's most influential grassroots environmental advocacy organization.

The Union of Concerned Scientists is an independent nonprofit alliance of more than 100,000 concerned citizens and scientists. They work to build a cleaner, healthier environment and a safer world by augmenting rigorous scientific analysis with innovative thinking and committed citizen advocacy.
