Saturday Seminar Series:
"The Adler Workshop"

Hugh Taft-Morales presents an intimate opportunity to delve into the life and philosophy of Ethical Culture's founder, Felix Adler. Participants will learn and discuss the roots of our movement, as well as the strengths and limits of Adler’s perspectives on religion, service, relationships, and democracy. RSVP to Scott Walton.

Hugh writes:
Have you ever read some of Felix Adler's writings and said, "What the heck is he saying?" I have...which is why I am offering the Adler Workshop! This is a learning opportunity for those interested in Ethical Culture who wish to delve into the life and philosophy of Felix Adler. We examine the roots of Ethical Culture and the strengths and limits of Adler’s thought. Between a series of short presentations, participants will discuss Adler’s perspectives on religion, the spiritual pains of humanity, service, relationships, democracy, as well as probe the deeper meaning behind terms such as “eliciting the best” and “the ethical manifold”.
